It was another career-night for Kayla DeCriscio.  After scoring 24 points in Tuesday's opener, DeCriscio came back with seven more 3-pointers and a career-high 26 points to lead the Lady Cats to a 91-58 non-conference victory over Washington Adventist (MD) University, Thursday evening in the Sports Center.

Head Coach Mike Drahos earned his first win at the helm of the Pitt-Johnstown program, and had his team even its record at 1-1.

Decriscio and Kelsey Sleighter started the night with back-to-back 3-pointers, before another one from Nicole Carman gave the Lady Cats a 12-2 lead five minutes into the game.

Washington Adventist battled back to cut it to 21-15 on a Rashawnda Carter lay-up at 11:09, but Pitt-Johnstown outscored the Shock 15-2 over the next six minutes to build the lead to 36-17 on another DeCriscio 3-pointer.

Washington Adventist never got closer than 15 the rest of the way.  Sleighter scored to extend it to 20 late in the half, before the Lady Cats took a 41-23 halftime advantage into the locker room.

It was more of the same in the second half.  One of Leah Hansen's four 3-pointers pushed the lead out to 31 with 12:31 to play.  Jamie Tabon then gave Pitt-Johnstown its largest lead of the night at 89-50 with a 3-pointer with just under three minutes remaining, and the Lady Cats cruised to the 33-point win.

DeCriscio led all scorers and four Pitt-Johnstown double-figure scorers with 26 points on 8-11 shooting, including 7-10 from behind the 3-point line.  DeCriscio also grabbed nine rebounds, while Carman finished with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Hansen had 13 points, and Inaya Stephenson tallied 10 points and six rebounds off the bench to round out the double-figure scorers.  The Lady Cats also got nine points and nine rebounds from Jasmine Harper in the lopsided win.

Pitt-Johnstown, which held a convincing 69-43 advantage on the glass, shot 38% (31-81) from the floor, but hit 15 of its 38 (39.5%) 3-pointers.  Washington Adventist was held to just 30% (24-80) shooting from the floor and 1-5 from behind the 3-point line.

Carter's 24 points and five rebounds paced the Shock, which dropped to 2-1 on the year.

Pitt-Johnstown will open PSAC-play at Indiana University (PA) on Wednesday, before hosting a conference doubleheader with the Mountain Cats against Edinboro University on Saturday, November 23 at 1 p.m. in the Sports Center.
