Men's Soccer Falls 3-0 at Bloomsburg

Bloomsburg University, ranked #9 in this week's NSCAA Atlantic Region Poll, got a pair of goals from Justin McLennan and dealt head coach Eric Kinsey's Mountain Cats, ranked #7 in the Atlantic Region, a 3-0 road loss , Tuesday night. With the loss, Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 2-2-0.
McLennan tallied an unassisted goal in the 35th minute to give the Huskies a 1-0 halftime lead, before adding his second unassisted goal of the evening in the 55th minute. Bloomsburg ended the scoring and set the final score at 3-0 when Eric Simonds beat Mountain Cat goalkeeper Craig Neff (Elizabethtown, Pa.) in the 63rd minute of play.
Neff made six saves, but surrendered all three goals and fell to 2-2-0 on the seson. David Leiendecker earned the shuthout for the Huskies, who outshot Pitt-Johnstown 13-6 and held a 9-3 advantage in shots on-goal.
With the victory, Bloomsburg remained undefeated and raised its overall record to 2-0-3.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to Shepherd (WV) University for a WVIAC match on Friday and to Columbia Union (MD) College for a non-conference match on Sunday. The Mountain Cats will return home to host WVIAC foe University of Charleston (WV) on Tuesday, September 23 at 4:00 p.m.
