Alex Naggy Named WVIAC Co-Pitcher of Week

Mountain Cat right-hander Alex Naggy (Greensburg, Pa.) was named WVIAC Co-Pitcher of the Week with West Liberty (WV) University's Jeff Welsh after tossing a complete-game, two-hit, shutout over Concord (WV) University last Wednesday. Naggy worked one game for the week. He tossed a complete-game shutout in the win over Concord. Naggy allowed just two hits and struck out three in Pitt-Johnstown's 5-0 win.
Welsh helped West Liberty knock-off league-leading and regionally-ranked Seton Hill University, 3-2 over the weekend. In the complete-game win, Welsh struck out eight and gave up just six hits, while walking one.
Sydnor went 7-for-14 on the week, helping the Mountain Lions post a 3-1 mark. Of the seven base hits, six were for extra bases, including five doubles and a triple. Sydnor drove in five runs and scored four runs. He also swiped two bases on the week.
