Volleyball Win Streak Ends With Loss at Charleston

Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) had nine kills and 10 digs, but the University of Charleston (WV) put an end to the Lady Cat volleyball team's five match with streak by handing Pitt-Johnstown a 25-21, 25-18, 25-12 road loss on Saturday. Pitt-Johnstown is now 10-9 overall and 6-5 in the WVIAC.
Jessica Heidenthal (Clymer, Pa.) added eight kills, and Lindsay Roush (Johnstown, Pa.) had six kills. Taylor King (York, Pa.) (13 assists) and Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) (8 assists) combined for 21 set assists, while Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) collected eight digs in the loss.
With the victory, Charleston improved to 13-8 overall and 7-2 in conference play.
The Lady Cats finish a stretch of five straight road matches at Penn State-Altoona on Tuesday, before returning home to host Concord (WV) University on Friday at 7 p.m. and Bluefield State (WV) College for Senior Day on Saturday at 1 p.m.
