Volleyball Sweeps Concord in Sports Center

Taylor Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) had nine kills and seven digs, and Jessica Hedenthal (Clymer, Pa.) added eight kills and a block to lead the Lady Cat volleyball team to a 25-12, 25-9, 25-16 sweep over Concord (WV) University, Friday evening in the Sports Center. Pitt-Johnstown snapped a two-match losing skid and improved to 11-10 overall and 7-5 in the WVIAC.
Ashley Dirado (Greesnburg, Pa.) added seven kills and three block solos, while Beth Kendera (Johnstown, Pa.) had four kills, a block solo and two block assists.
Taylor King (York, Pa.) led Pitt-Johnstown with 16 set assists. Kayla Petrilla (Johnstown, Pa.) collected 12 assists, and Kelsey Kohler (Johnstown, Pa.) had 18 digs to help lead the way for Head Coach Linda Renzi's lady Cats.
Amber Miller had nine kills, and Emily Wilson had five kills for Concord, which fell to 8-19 overall and 3-6 in the WVIAC.
The Lady Cats will celebrate Senior Day against Bluefield State (WV) College on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Sports Center, before wrapping-up the regular season with a WVIAC match at Fairmont State (WV) University on November 6.
