Lady Cat Volleyball Defeats Salem International, 3-1

Senior outside hitter Abbey Hrescak (Johnstown, Pa.) had 19 kills and 21 digs to lead the Lady Cats to a 3-1 victory at Salem International (WV) Friday night. With the victory, Head Coach Linda Renzi's volleyball team is now 13-11 on the year.
The Lady Cats took game one, 30-21 and game two, 30-22, before dropping game three, 30-32. Pitt Johnstown then went on to win game four, 30-22.
Along with Hrescak's efforts, sophomore setter Merissa Larrew (Irwin, Pa.) had 58 assists and senior defensive specialist Ashley Brant (Johnstown, Pa.) tallied 17 digs in the victory. As a team, the Lady Cats also had 11 service aces.
The Lady Cats return home for the year's final two matches in the Sports Center. Pitt Johnstown will host Bethany (WV) College on Monday and then celebrate Senior Night Thursday against Davis & Elkins (WV). Both matches will begin at 7 p.m.
