Volleyball Falls to Wheeling Jesuit in WVIAC Quarterfinals

Junior middle hitter Megan Lasut (Central City, Pa.) had six kills, but the #8-seeded Lady Cat volleyball season came to an end with a three-games-to-none loss to top-seeded Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University in Friday's WVIAC Tournament Quarterfinals in Charleston, WV. The Lady Cats finished the season with a 15-15 overall record.
Pitt Johnstown suffered 30-19, 30-16 and 30-8 losses.
Along with Lasut, Head Coach Linda Renzi got five kills from junior middle hitter Casey Jo Ritenour (Latrobe, Pa.), 23 assists from freshman Taylor King (York, Pa.) and 20 digs from junior Katie Shadron (Ligonier, Pa.).
With the victory, Wheeling Jesuit advanced to the WVIAC Semifinals and improved to 30-11 on the season.
