Swope Tabbed NSCAA Second Team All-Region

Pitt-Johnstown senior forward Jason Swope (Indiana, Pa.) was named Second Team National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Second Team All-Atlantic Region when this year's teams were released on Thursday. In all, nine WVIAC players earned spots on this year's All-Region Teams... (Release and All-Region Teams)
Swope, a First Team All-WVIAC selection in 2008, led the Mountain Cats with 26 points on team-highs of 11 goals and four assists. Swope ranks 77th in NCAA Division II in goals per game (.55) and 81st in points per game (1.35).
West Virginia Wesleyan College led the way for the WVIAC with five overall selections, including first team picks George Rowley (K, Sr., New Orleans, LA), Dylan Boyd (D, Sr., Rochester, MN), and Anthony Peters (M, Sr., Baton Rouge, LA). Abe Levin-Neilsen (D, Jr., Vienna, WV) and Brett Fackenthal (F, Jr., Pittsburgh, PA) were selected to the third team.
Davis & Elkins (WV) College had a pair of first teamers in Matt Fannon (D, Sr., York, ENG) and Daniel Kwafo (M, Jr., Accra, Ghana). Pitt-Johnstown's Swope was picked for the second team, as was Shepherd (WV) University midfielder Jeffers Frazier (Soph., Prince Frederick, MD).
