Mountain Cat Soccer 8th in Atlantic Region Poll

After falling out of the top-10 for a week, Head Coach Eric Kinsey's Mountain Cat soccer team climbed into the No. 8 spot in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Atlantic Region Poll released on Tuesday. The University of Charleston (WV) is the top-ranked team in the region and the No. 4-ranked team in NCAA Division II... (NSCAA National and Regional Rankings)
Pitt-Johnstown, 5-4-0 overall and 3-2-0 in the WVIAC, has won two straight matches to get back into the regional rankings. The Mountain Cats earned a 1-0 home victory over Atlantic Region No. 9 Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University on September 29, before scoring a 7-0 road win at Lincoln University on Saturday.
Five teams from the WVIAC are ranked in this week's poll. Charleston remains the region's top ranked squad, while West Virginia Wesleyan College is seventh, Pitt-Johnstown is eighth, Wheeling Jesuit (WV) University is ninth and Shepherd (WV) University is 10th.
