Late goal leads Bloomsburg over Mountain Cats

Bloomsburg University's Garrett Latimer scored the lone goal of the match in the 79th minute to lead the Huskies to a 1-0 PSAC victory over the Mountain Cats, Saturday at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field. With the loss Pitt-Johnstown fell to 0-3-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the conference.

Latimer scored on a long cross from Michael Del Sordi with just under twelve minutes left to play to give Bloomsburg the win.

Tim Ofman made four saves, while allowing the one goal for the Mountain Cats. Bernie Roell secured the shutout for Bloomsburg, which outshot Pitt-Johnstown 27-7. Roell was only forced to make four saves.

With the victory Bloomsburg improved to 2-2-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the PSAC.

The Mountain Cats will host non-conferences matches against Anderson-Broadus (WV) College on Wednesday at 2 p.m. and Chowan (NC) University on Saturday at 5 p.m.
