Slippery Rock University got three goals from Mike Ilodigwe and tallied three goals in a span of six minutes to close out the first half and begin the second half to down the Mountain Cat soccer team, 7-1, in PSAC action, Saturday afternoon in Slippery Rock. Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 1-8-0 overall and 0-4-0 in the PSAC.

Dom Francis' penalty kick goal 40 minutes into the match got Slippery Rock on the scoreboard. Â Three minutes later, Ilodigwe beat Pitt-Johnstown goalkeeper
Nate Kleya on a rebound off of a blocked shot to give The Rock, which outshot 28-9, a 2-0 halftime advantage.

Ilodigwe struck again 46 seconds into the second half, before Tobe Oraegbu's blast from 25 yards out in the 60
th minute pushed the Slippery Rock lead to 4-0.

The Mountain Cats cut it to 4-1 with an own goal in the 65
th minute, but Ilodigwe recorded the hat trick with his third goal of the match in the 75
th minute to make it 5-1.

The Rock went on to add two more goals to set the final at 7-1.

Kleya took the loss in goal for Pitt-Johnstown after making six. Steven Rearick and Logan Mears shared time in net and combined to make four saves for Slippery Rock.

With the victory, Slippery Rock raised its overall record to 6-3-0 and its PSAC record to 3-1-0.

The Mountain Cats travel to Alderson-Broaddus (WV) College for a non-conference match on Wednesday and to Seton Hill University for a PSAC match on Saturday.Â
