The Lady Cats got 23 points and seven first half 3-pointers from Kayla DeCrisico and used a 13-0 run to build a 15-point halftime lead, before holding on for a 71-65 PSAC victory at Slippery Rock on Saturday. Pitt-Johnstown made it three straight wins and improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference-play.

The Lady Cats connected on 10 first-half 3-pointers, including seven from DeCriscio, to open-up a 15-point halftime lead.

DeCriscio came off of the bench five minutes in when
Olivia Rizzo picked-up her second foul and hit her first two 2-pointers to give Pitt-Johnstown an early 13-10 advantage. DeCriscio's third and fourth from long range increased it to 29-25 with just under five minutes left in the half.

Slippery Rock got a bucket from Erica Aiello at 4:18 to cut it to 29-27, but that was the last time The Rock would score.

Pitt-Johnstown scored the final 13 points of the half. DeCrisicio, who scored 23 points in the half, accounted for the next eight Lady Cat points to build the lead into double digits. Agnese Aramino hit a 3-pointer, and
Nicole Carman followed with a basket in the paint with 13 seconds remaining to give Pitt-Johnstown a 42-27 lead at the break.

It was more of the same to start the second half. The Lady Cats continued their hot shooting and extended the run to 22-4 on two straight 2-pointers from
Kelsey Sleighter that pushed the lead to 51-31 at 16:23.

After
Jasmine Harper's free-throw midway through the second half gave Pitt-Johnstown a 22-point lead, The Rock stormed back with a 22-4, capped by a Danielle Garroutte jumper, to narrow the gap to 67-63 with 1:21 on the clock.

However, Carman hit four consecutive free-throws in the final 19 seconds left to help preserve the Lady Cats' six-point victory.

DeCriscio finished with a game-high 23 points, including 7-13 shooting from 3-point range, to lead four Lady Cats who scored in double figures. Harper finished with a double of 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Carman had 12 points and five rebounds, and Sleighter had 10 points and eight rebounds to help lead Pitt-Johnstown.

Both teams shot 36.9% (24-65) from the field, but the Lady Cats connected on 12 3-pointers, while The Rock was held to just 3-13 shooting from behind the 3-point line.

With her 12 points, Carman is now 33 points shy of becoming Pitt-Johnstown's 34
th 1,000-point scorer. In addition, her 533 rebounds currently rank 21
st on the Lady Cat All-time Rebounding List.

Aiello scored 21 points and D'Asia Chambers chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds to pace Slippery Rock, which dropped to 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the PSAC West.

The Lady Cats continue a stretch of four consecutive road games with non-conference games at Salem International (WV) University on Tuesday and at Urbana (OH) University on December 1. Pitt-Johnstown will return home on December 6 to host a PSAC doubleheader with the Mountain Cats against Seton Hill. The Lady Cats will tip-off at 1 p.m. in the Sports Center, with the men's game to follow at 3 p.m.Â
