Two Second Half Goals Lift Bloomsburg Over Mountain Cats

3103Bloomsburg University got second half goals from Kenny Herrmann and Austin Transue and went on to hold off the Mountain Cat soccer team, 2-0, Saturday evening in Bloomsburg.  Pitt-Johnstown slipped to 1-13-0 overall and 0-8-0 in the PSAC.
 
After a scoreless first half, Bloomsburg's Kenny Herrmann tapped in a ball that was headed to the front of the net to put the Huskies in front, 1-0 in the 56th minute.
 
Bloomsburg made it 2-0 when Austin Transue found the back of the net behind Mountain Cat goalkeeper Nate Kleya.
 
That was all the Huskies needed, as Jacob Pisarcik earned the shutout in goal for Bloomsburg after facing nine Pitt-Johnstown  shots and making a pair of saves.
 
Kleya suffered the loss in goal for Pitt-Johnstown.  Kleya saw 28 Bloomsburg shots, allowed both goals, and made 11 saves.
 
With the win, the Huskies improved to 11-3-0 overall and 6-2-0 in the PSAC.
 
The Mountain Cats host a PSAC match against California University (PA) on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field, before traveling to Gannon University for a conference match on Saturday.
