Pitt-Johnstown got 10 kills from
Cambria Wierman and eight kills from
Kendall Mahony to improve to 21-3 overall and 13-1 in the PSAC Eastern Division with a 25-18, 25-20, 25-20 sweep over West Chester University, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center.

Two Molly Grammer kills helped West Chester run to a 4-0 lead to start the match, but Pitt-Johnstown answered with a 10-2 run, capped by kills from Mahony and
Marissa Erminio to put the Lady Cats in from 10-6. Mahony's service ace increased it to 13-8, before the Rams tied it on three occasions, with the last coming at 18-18 on Victoria Cruciani kill. However, Pitt-Johnstown took advantage of six West Chester errors and another Mahony ace to score the final seven points and close out the 25-18 win.

In the second set, Pitt-Johnstown outscored the Rams 7-1 to break a tie and build a 16-10 advantage on three consecutive West Chester errors. The Rams came back to narrow the gap to 16-14 on a Jillian Grammer ace and a Molly Grammer kill, but the Lady Cats regained control and pushed it back out to five on Wierman's kill. West Chester came back again. This time to cut it three, but kills by Wierman and
Larissa Swank gave Pitt-Johnstown the 25-20 victory.

Pitt-Johnstown opened-up a 9-6 lead early in the third set on
Madeline George's kill, before the Rams used a 9-4 run to regain the lead 15-13 on Jillian Grammer's ace and a Pitt-Johnstown error. Consecutive kills by Erminio and
Allison Mondorff gave the lead back to the Lady Cats at 18-16. Pitt-Johnstown never gave it up again and went on to the sweep with a 25-20 win.

Wierman had 10 kills and 12 digs, while Mahony finished with eight kills, two blocks and a pair of aces to lead Pitt-Johnstown. Erminio collected seven kills, two blocks, and an ace, while George had four kills and three blocks.

Mondorff's (16 assists) and
Jessica Dillon (13 assists) combined for 29 set assists, and
Devan Orr had a match-high 17 digs for the Lady Cats. Mondorff also added eight digs.

Molly Grammer had a match-high 14 kills, and Allie Duffy tallied seven kills to lead the way for West Chester, which dropped to 19-8 overall and 7-8 in the PSAC East.

The Lady Cats will host a non-conference match against Point Park University on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center, before traveling to PSAC matches at Shippensburg University on Friday and Millersville University on Saturday.Â
