Marissa Erminio had a match-high 15 kills to lead three Pitt-Johnstown players who finished in double figures in kills in a 3-sets-to-1 victory over Notre Dame College (OH) to close out the 2015 IUP Asics Crimson Hawk Invitational. The Lady Cats, who won nine of the ten sets they played, improved to 3-0 to start the season.

After convincing 25-10 and 25-14 wins to open the match, Pitt-Johnstown suffered its first lost set of the year with a 25-23 setback in set three. However, the Lady Cats bounced right back by winning the fourth set 25-10.

Kendall Mahony tallied 12 kills, and
Maura Brehl had a career-high 11 kills to join Erminio with double figure kills for the Lady Cats. Pitt-Johnstown also got eight kills and eight digs from
Cambria Wierman and five kills from
Gabriell Carney.

Allison Mondorff finished with a match-high 40 set assists, while
Jessica Dillon added 17 assists.Â
Devan Orr led all players with 32 digs.

Angela Bush had five kills, and Melissa Maczuzak and Kristen Hill chipped-in four kills apiece for Notre Dame.

The Lady Cats travel to the University of Findlay (OH) Tournament on Friday and Saturday, before making their 2015 home debut against West Liberty (WV) University on September 15 at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.Â
