Jasmine Harper drained a go-ahead free throw shot with 26 seconds in overtime to help Pitt-Johnstown clinch its seventh victory of the season, defeating Indiana University (Pa.), 87-86 in PSAC West Division competition Wednesday in the Pitt-Johnstown Sports Center.

Ana Hollen recorded her career's best scoring performance with a game-high 23 points, and
Kayla DeCriscio also added 18 points, shooting 6-for-10 from three point territory as the Lady Cats advanced to 7-10 overall and 4-7 in PSAC play.

Harper tallied six points and six rebounds in 17 minutes of play. This performance brings her career totals to 1,149 points and 694 rebounds, which puts her past Pat Wajers (1976-80) by one point for 25
th-place on the Lady Cat All-Time Scoring List.

She remains in 12
th-place on the Lady Cat All-Time Rebounding List, trailing Helen Young by 26 boards for 11
th-place.

The Lady Cats overcame a couple 16-point deficits, one in the second quarter, and the last coming in the fourth quarter.

It wasn't until the 8:20 first quarter mark when the game's first points were scored.
Olivia McCabe made a third-chance layup to give Pitt-Johnstown an early 2-0 lead. McCabe finished the game with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Two and a half minutes later, Pitt-Johnstown broke a 5-5 tie when DeCriscio made a three-pointer off of an assist from
Dominique Smith to give UPJ a 8-5 lead.

After tying the game at 11 points at the 3:21 mark, IUP took control on a three-pointer from Megan Smith with an assist from Leslie Stapleton to give IUP a 14-11 lead with 2:08 left in the opening period. A jumper from Carolyn Appleby with 1:04 left gave the Crimson Hawks an 18-14 heading into the second quarter.

After both teams traded jumpers to start the next period, Indiana outscored Pitt-Johnstown 16-4 in the first 4:55 of the quarter, which was capped off by two free throw shots from Zhane Brooks, Indiana led 36-20.

Pitt-Johnstown had somewhat of a run themselves when they closed out the last five minutes of the half on a 16-8 run to cut the Crimson Hawks' advantage to 44-36 heading into the third quarter.

Pitt-Johnstown cut Indiana's lead to four points in the first two minutes of the half after a shot from beyond the arc from Hollen, a layup from McCabe and a free throw shot from
Jamie Tabon to make the score 46-42 with 8:02 left in the third quarter. Tabon recorded nine points, 14 rebounds and four assists along with two steals.

IUP eventually stretched their advantage to 10 points when Stapleton made a free throw after being fouled by McCabe with 6:54, which advanced the Crimson Hawk lead to 54-44.

The Lady Cats then went on a 11-2 run that was highlighted by another three-pointer from DeCriscio for her 12
th point of the game and put UPJ within one point of the lead, 56-55 with 2:58 left until the fourth quarter.

Indiana closed out the period on a 9-0 run with the quarter's last points coming from Halle Denman with six rebounds, which gave the Crimson Hawks a 65-55 lead heading into the last ten minutes of regulation.

The run carried over to the fourth quarter when Brooks and Stapleton made layups in the opening minutes to complete a 13-0 run and give Indiana a 69-55 advantage. The Crimson Hawks had at least a 10-point lead up until the 4:22 mark when Hollen made two free throw shots to cut IUP's lead to nine points, 73-64.

Pitt-Johnstown remained at least eight points down until McCabe made a layup with 1:47 remaining in regulation that triggered an eight-point run to tie the game. The run was capped off by another DeCriscio three-pointer with 31 seconds that would send the game into overtime.

Marina Wareham hit two shots from beyond the arc within the first minute of overtime to help the Crimson Hawks go up 83-79 after 56 seconds. It wasn't until the 1:06 mark that Pitt-Johnstown was able to tie the game at 86 points when Olivia Rizzo hit a three-pointer after an assist from Hollen.

Harper made one-of-two free throws after being fouled by Brooks with 28 seconds remaining in the overtime to put the Lady Cats up, 87-86. The basket would be the game's last and go-ahead point that earned Pitt-Johnstown the upset victory.

Stapleton finished the game with 21 points, which led the Crimson Hawks, who fell to 12-4 overall and 9-3 in conference play with the loss.

The Lady Cats are to travel to Edinboro University to play the Lady Fighting Scots Saturday at 1 p.m. in a doubleheader with the Mountain Cats. The team's next home game is scheduled for Jan. 23 at 1 p.m. against Clarion University in a doubleheader with the Mountain Cats.Â
