Jasmine Harper recorded 19 points and four rebounds to lead Pitt-Johnstown in defeating Slippery Rock University 84-72 and to help the Lady Cat seniors end their careers with a victory in PSAC West Division action Wednesday evening in the Pitt-Johnstown Sports Center.

Olivia McCabe also added 13 points and six rebounds while both
Jamie Tabon and
Laurel O'Barto finished with 11 points for Pitt-Johnstown, who ended their season with an 8-20 overall and a 5-17 conference record with the win.

Harper finishes her career with 1,294 points and 748 rebounds, which is good enough for 16
th place on the Lady Cat All-Time Scoring List and tied for ninth place with Jamie Cicuto (1999-03) on the Lady Cat All-Time Rebounding List.

Pitt-Johnstown started the game with a 5-0 lead with all five points coming from McCabe by the 8:56 first quarter mark. The Rock went on a 7-2 run while they were suffering from an early deficit to tie the game at seven points by 5:37 after a free throw from Lexi Carpenter when she was fouled by O'Barto to pick her second personal foul of the game.

Olivia Rizzo answered with two straight three pointers in the next 56 seconds to put the Lady Cats ahead 13-7. Carpenter then hit a jumper at 4:01 to cut the lead to four points, but Pitt-Johnstown scored nine of the last 12 points of the quarter to construct a 22-12 advantage heading into the second period.

The Lady Cats lead did not drop lower than eight points in the first three minutes of the quarter until Slippery Rock's Megan Hardiman hit a three-pointer to the Lady Cats lead to seven points, 26-19 with 6:55 left in the half, but Tabon soon answered with a layup 19 seconds later to go up by nine points.

The Rock eventually cut the lead to 35-29 with 2:51 left until halftime after a Carpenter jumper, but Pitt-Johnstown closed the half with an eight-point run to earn a 43-29 halftime lead.

The Lady Cats started the half strong by scoring eight of the first 12 points to jump to a 51-33 lead at 6:15 in the period when
Nicole Corcoran drained three-pointer off of an assist from Harper after Morgan Henderson turned the ball over.

The Rock then went on a 10-2 run to cut their deficit to 10 points, 53-43 with 2:12 to go in the third period. Mallory Heinle contributed four of the 10 Slippery Rock points during the span.

Victoria Moreland made a layup at 1:48 to put the Lady Cats back ahead by 12 points but Erica Aiello made a free throw after being fouled by
Dominique Smith to dip the Lady Cats lead to nine points. McCabe was able to cancel that out, however, with by making a layup 22 seconds later to help Pitt-Johnstown go into the final ten minutes with a 10-point lead, 57-47.

The Lady Cats' lead did not drop lower than nine points in fourth quarter even though they outscored the Rock by just two points in the last quarter.

Carpenter had a game-high 32 points along with five assists and three steals while Ciara Patterson scored 13 points Slippery Rock finished their season with a 13-15 overall and 9-13 conference record after the loss.
