
Gus Yahner finished second in the pole vault, and
Jayshawn Whitfield set school records and placed in both the high jump and triple jump for the Pitt-Johnstown men's track and field team at Saturday's Shippensburg University Paul Kaiser Classic.
Yahner finished second in the pole vault at 14'5.25", while Whitfield placed fifth in the high jump (6'3.5") and sixth in the triple jump (44'6"). In the process, Whitfield broke Pitt-Johnstown's previous records in both the high jump and triple jump.
In adddition to Yahner and Whitfield, the Mountain Cat 4x400-meter relay team of
Tom McArdle,
Matt Nedzinski,
Andrew Downey, and
Nathan Lieb finished third with a time of 3:32.66.
