The Mountain Cats took an early 8-4 lead, thanks to an Alexis Harris 3-pointer, assisted by Alexis Hartwick. With 2:12 remaining in the second quarter, Brianna Logan took it strong to the hoop to get an easy layup to give the Lions a one-point lead, before Harris answered with a jumper for Pitt-Johnstown to give the Mountain Cats a slim, 36-35 halftime advantage.

Michelle Fitzgerald knocked down both of her free-throws with 3:43 remaining in the third quarter to put  the Lions back into the lead.  However, the Mountain Cats went on a quick 7-1 run, highlighted by a Hartwick 3-pointer, to go into the fourth quarter in front, 44-40.

In the fourth quarter with 6:31 left, Teira Pendleton hit a pair of free-throws to narrow the Pitt-Johnstown lead to 56-53. That was the closest the Lions would get the rest of the game.  Harris gave the Mountain Cats a 63-56 lead with 3:50 remaining with a 3-pointer and Pitt-Johnstown went on to the 11-point victory.
