Similar to Saturday's start on the road at Clarion, the Lady Cats got off to a slow start at Gannon on Wednesday.  The Golden Knights opened-up a 15-4 lead four minutes into the game on a Chelsea Rourke 3-pointer and a basket from Haley Tewes.

Leading 25-19 entering the second quarter, Gannon quickly increased it to 31-19 on Rourke's 3-pointer, followed by two Maggie Mitchell free-throws, but Pitt-Johnstown answered again.  This time with a 12-2 spurt over the next 6:30 that cut it to 33-31 on Maurina Nunn's lay-up and Alexis Hartwick's 3-pointer.

The Golden Knights made it a four-point lead, but McCabe's bucket at the buzzer got the Lady Cats to with two at 35-33 at the half.

Another 3-pointer by Hartwick erased the 12-point second quarter deficit and gave Pitt-Johnstown's its first lead of the night at 43-42 with 2:42 left in the third quarter, but baskets by Lauren Tewes and Lanise Saunders to close out the quarter put the Golden Knights back on top, 46-43.

After Mitchell's 3-pointer to open the final quarter to rebuild the Gannon lead to six, Nunn connected on a jumper to get the Lady Cats back to within two, but the Golden Knights pushed it back out to a dozen with 1:54 to play.

The Lady Cats battled back to within four with 14 seconds left on Hartwick's fourth 3-pointer of the game, but it was too late and Gannon was able to hold on for the narrow win.

Along with McCabe's 13 points and seven rebounds, Hartwick added 12 points, and Tabon had 11 points and eight rebounds for Pitt-Johnstown.  O'Barto finished with nine points, five rebounds and four assists, and Nunn chipped-in six points off the bench.

With her seven rebounds, McCabe moved into 30th-place on the Lady Cat All-time Rebounding List with 475.
