Pitt-Johnstown senior pitcher Ben Foose and junior pitcher Brady Walker were named Second-Team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Baseball by the conferences coaches when this year's teams were released on Tuesday.
 
Eric Fairman from California (PA) and West Chester's Jared Melone were honored as PSAC Athletes of the Year in their respective divisions.  PSAC Pitcher of the Year honors went to Matthew Minnick (Mercyhurst) in the East, and Eli Nabholz (Millersville) in the East. Patrick Brogan from California (PA) and Anthony Vavaroutsos from Shippensburg were named the top freshmen, while Mike Conte (California (PA) and Jon Shehan (Millersville) were named the coaches of the year.
 
Foose, a native of Altoona, Pa. and a graduate of Altoona Area High School, was 1-1 with a team-best three saves in 31 2/3 innings to earn All-PSAC West honors as a relief pitcher.  Foose led the Mountain Cats with a 2.56 ERA.  He also struck out 33 and walked 10.
 
Walker earned all-conference honors after posting a perfect 6-0 record 41 1/3 innings.  The Stoystown, Pa. native and North Star High School graduate finished second behind Foose with a 2.61 ERA.  Walker finished third on the team in strikeouts with 67.  He also walked 10 and held opponents to a .221 batting average.
 
Walker currently ranks 14^th in NCAA Division II in strikeouts per nine innings (13.5), 21^st in strikeout-to-walk ratio (6.2), and 47^th in WHIP (1.06)
