Head Coach Eric Kinsey and the Pitt-Johnstown men's soccer team will host a non-conference match against Shepherd (WV) University on Tuesday. Kick-off is set for 4 p.m. at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field.
The Mountain Cats, 1-1-0 to start the year, are coming off of a 1-0 non-conference loss to Wheeling (WV) in Saturday's home-opener. Javier Mangado's goal with 15 minutes remaining lifted the Cardinals to the win.
Coach Alex Jones' (3
rd year) Shepherd Rams come in at 1-4-0 following a 5-2 home loss to Felician (NJ) on Saturday.
Carlos Castillo and
Ryan Bowman accounted for the two Rams' goals.
Last season, Pitt-Johnstown went to Shepherdstown, W.Va. on September 30 and suffered a 1-0 setback on
Shamar Robinson's penalty kick goal with just over a minute left before halftime.
The Mountain Cats travel to Roberts Wesleyan (NY) for a non-conference match on Saturday, before returning home to host a non-conference match against Washington Adventist (MD) next Tuesday at 4 p.m.
