The second ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers got technical fall wins from Jacob Ealy (141 lbs.) and Connor Craig (184 lbs.) to bounce back from a tough loss in the quarterfinals with a lopsided 37-3 victory over Maryville (MO) University in Friday's Consolation Quarterfinals at the NWCA National Duals in Louisville, KY.  Pitt-Johnstown is now 12-3 on the year.
 
Coach Pat Pecora, who now has 609 career victories, and his Mountain Cats will take on No. 8 Upper Iowa University in Saturday's Consolation Semifinals at 9 a.m.
 
The Mountain Cats and Maryville split the first two bouts, but Pitt-Johnstown took control after that.
 
Pitt-Johnstown took a 3-0 lead with fifth-ranked Brendan Howard's 7-5 decision over No. 10 Tyler Kreith, before Maryville tied it when Alex Waggoner earned an 2-1 sudden victory in the second overtime period over Matt Siszka at 133 lbs.
 
It was all Mountain Cats after that.  Pitt-Johnstown went on to win the final eight bouts to coast to the victory.
 
Eighth-ranked Ealy's 18-1 technical fall over Tristan Barr at 141 lbs. got it going, and No.1-ranked Chris Eddins dealt Tyler Stegall an 8-0 major decision loss at 149 lbs. to make it 12-3.
 
Nate Smith won by decision at 157 lbs., and No. 4 Devin Austin scored a 10-2 major decision at 165 lbs., before a 10-2 major decision from No. 5 Brock Biddle at 174 lbs., and fourth-ranked Craig's 16-0 technical fall at 3:30 over Bailey Kelly extended it to 28-3.
 
Pitt-Johnstown closed it at with Tyler Oliver's 6-2 decision and an injury default win by Allan Beattie at 285 lbs.
