Todd Williams and his Pitt-Johnstown baseball team have been picked to finish fifth in the Western Division when this year's Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference (PSAC) Preseason Coaches Poll was released on Tuesday.
Mercyhurst and Millersville topped the PSAC Poll for their respective divisions, as selected by the league's coaches, the conference announced Tuesday morning.

With the addition of Shepherd to the sport, the Eastern Division will boast nine teams while the Western Division will stay the same with eight.

Conference play shall be conducted with each Western Division team playing four games against each opponent in their respective Division for a total of 28 games. The Eastern Division teams will play three games against each opponent in their respective division for a total of 24 games.
The Mountain Cats, coming off of a 23-21 overall record and a fifth-place finish in the PSAC West at 11-15, returns six starting position players and three of its four starting pitchers.
Offensively, senior outfielder/designated hitter Zach Zinn (.316, 10 doubles, 2 triples, 4 homeruns, 19 RBI) and sophomore infielder Lennox Pugh (.280, 6 doubles, 2 triples, 19 RBI) return for Pitt-Johnstown.
On the mound, three junior, starting pitchers are back, including NCAA Division II's Top prospect Braxton Roxby. Also back are Dylan Heid and Joel Colledge. The Mountain Cats added former West Virginia University starting pitcher Isaiah Kearns as well.
The Eastern Division will begin PSAC play on Friday, March 13, while the Western Division will begin league play on Friday, March 20. The PSAC Baseball Championship will be held May 6-9 on the campus of Slippery Rock.
