Pitt-Johnstown baseball team will play host to a non-conference doubleheader against Fairmont State (WV) University, Saturday afternoon at Sargent's Stadium at the Point. The Mountain Cats and Falcons are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Coach Todd Williams' Mountain Cats are 2-2 after splitting a four-game, non-conference series with West Liberty (WV) in last weekend's season-opener.Â
Dylan Heid, the PSAC West, NCBWA Atlantic Region, and NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week, tossed a no-hitter in Saturday's 1-0 win, before the Mountain Cats took game two, 13-0. The Hilltoppers bounced back with 7-4 and 6-5 wins to close out the series on Sunday.

Head Coach Phil Caruso's Fairmont State Falcons are 0-4 after dropping four straight games at Ohio Dominican last weekend. Ohio Dominican won 11-6 and 12-5 on Saturday, before completing the sweep with 10-3 and 7-6 victories on Sunday.

Pitt-Johnstown has won the last four meetings between the teams, including 8-5 and 9-2 victories in Clarksburg, W.Va. on February 16, 2020. In game one,
Isaiah Kearns struck out eight over the first six innings and
Tyler Smith belted a grand slam for the Mountain Cats. Pitt-Johnstown completed the sweep after
Owen McKeever and Kearns combined for seven RBI, and
Joel Colledge fanned seven.

Pitt-Johnstown will finish the four-game series against the Falcons in Fairmont, W.Va. on Sunday, before hosting a non-conference doubleheader against Mount Aloysius College on March 21 at Point Stadium.
