As a result of poor field conditions at Clarion University, the Pitt-Johnstown baseball team will open PSAC Western Division play on Friday and Saturday with doubleheaders at Sargent's Stadium at the Point. Both doubleheaders are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Coach Todd Williams' Mountain Cats, 4-4 on the season, open PSAC Western Division play this weekend. Pitt-Johnstown split a four-game series with Fairmont State (WV) on March 13 and 14, before last weekend's doubleheader against Mount Aloysius was postponed. Two-time PSAC West and Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Week

Since 2005, Pitt-Johnstown leads the series 27-14 and holds an 18-6 advantage over Clarion at Point Stadium. The teams have split the last 10 games, including four games in 2019. On May 3, the Mountain Cats went to Pullman Park in Butler and suffered a 4-1 loss in the opener, before taking game two, 4-1. The next day at Point Stadium, Clarion won game one, 8-3, but Pitt-Johnstown bounced back with a 7-0 victory in the nightcap.
