Dylan Heid, the PSAC Western Division Pitcher of the Week, was also tabbed the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday after tossing a no-hitter against West Liberty (WV) University in last weekend's season-opener.
Heid is now on the ballot for voting on NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week.
Heid, a native of Malvern, Pa. and a graduate of Great Valley High School, struck out 13 Hilltoppers in Saturday's seven-inning no-hitter that led the Mountain Cats to a 1-0 victory. Heid faced 24 hitters, walked three, hit one, and needed 93 pitches to complete the no-hitter.
Millersville University's Luke Trainer was named the NCBWA Atlantic Region Athlete of the Week after hitting for the cycle in his first game of the spring. He finished Saturday's doubleheader with a 6-for-7 performance at the plate. Trainer collected nine RBI and scored five runs for the Marauders.
