
For the third time this season, Pitt-Johnstown senior, right-hander
Dylan Heid was selected as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday after striking out a career-high 15 hitters in Friday's PSAC complete-game, shutout victory over Slippery Rock.
Heid, who improved to 6-1 on the season and was named the PSAC West Pitcher of the Week for a fifth time on Monday, tossed seven shutout innings to open the PSAC Western Division series against the Rock at Sargent's Stadium at the Point. Heid scattered six hits, five singles and a double, struck out a career-high 15 and did not allow a walk.
Heid was previously named the NCBWA Atlantic Region Pitcher of the Week on March 9 and March 16, and the NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week on March 11.
