
Pitt-Johnstown senior right-hander
Dylan Heid held Mercyhurst University to an unearned run on three hits in Friday's doubleheader opener on his way to being named the PSAC Western Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season when the conference office released this week's honors on Monday.
Heid, who also was the PSAC West Pitcher of the Week on March 8 and March 15, pitched six strong innings in Friday's 2-1 win over the Lakers in Erie. Heid allowed just one unearned, scattered three hits, struck out 10, and walked one.
Heid Currently leads the PSAC and ranks third in NCAA Division II in Hits Allowed Per nine Innings (2.21) and eighth in WHIP (.54). In addition, Heid is second in the conference in Strikeouts Per Nine Innings and 10th nationally at 15.93.
