Ryan Karlheim finished third in the Decathlon, and
Ken Azzarello placed fourth in the 800-Meter Run to lead a group of eight Mountain Cats who placed at this weekend's 2021 PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Shippensburg.
Shippensburg won the men's team title with 273 points, 166.5 points better than second-place East Stroudsburg University's 106.0 points.
Karlheim's 5,892 points in the Decathlon earned his a third-place showing, while Azzarello's time of 1:56.05 in the 800-Meter Run gave him a fourth-place finish.


Pitt-Johnstown also got a seventh-place showing from
Tyler Spaid in the 400-Meter Hurdles at 57.05, while the Pitt-Johnstown 4x100-Meter and 4x400-Meter Relay Teams also placed. The 4x100-meter team of Spaid,
Logan Williams,
Daniel Heller, and
Brock Fisher finished seventh with a time of 45.03, and the 4x400-meter team of Azzarello, Karlheim, Heller, and Williams placed eighth at 3:36.29.
The Mountain Cats also had five athletes place in the field events, led by
Hunter Lindsay, who finished fifth in the Javelin (53.12 Meters) and 14th in the Discus (41.91 Meters).
Chris Colligan tied for eighth-place in the High Jump with Kutztown University's Tommy Oliver at 1.89 Meters, and
Clay Engle finished 12th in the Triple Jump at 12.65 Meters.
In addition,
Cole Weist placed 10th in the Javelin (49.43 Meters), and
Brock Fisher was 11th in the Pole Vault (3.98 Meters).
Shippensburg (273 points), East Stroudsburg (106.5 points), Slippery Rock University (91.5 points), Edinboro University (68 Points), and Seton Hill University 66 points) were the to-five team in the 13-team field. Pitt-Johnstown finished 11th with 20.5 team points.
