No. 16 Wrestlers to Celebrate Alumni Day and Host Quad Match With King, Seton Hill, and Shippensburg on Sunday

      The 16th-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers will be back in the Sports Center on Sunday when they host an Alumni Day quad match with King (TN) University, Seton Hill University, and Shippensburg University.
 
      Wrestling is scheduled to take place on two mats beginning at 11 a.m., with an approximate 10-15 minute break between dual meets.  Each team will wrestle three matches.
 
PITT-JOHNSTOWN SCHEDULE NOTE:  Pitt-Johnstown was originally supposed to wrestle King on Jan. 23, but after the Mountain Cats' PSAC match against Seton Hill was postponed on January 14, it was changed to a tri-match.  Then, earlier this week, Pitt-Johnstown's PSAC match against Shippensburg was moved from February 2 to January 23 in the Sports Center to make Sunday a Quad Match.  Pitt-Johnstown and Shippensburg will not wrestle on February 2.

      Pitt-Johnstown, ranked 16th in the most recent NWCA National Poll under 46th-year Head Coach Pat Pecora, was 6-0 overall and 1-0 in the PSAC prior to Friday's non-conference match at Fairmont State (WV).  The Mountain Cats are coming off of a dominating 3-0 showing at the Kutztown Duals on January 8 that saw Pitt-Johnstown win matches over Queens (NC), Glenville State (WV), and No. 24 American International by a combined score of 119-17.
      The Mountain Cats are led by three-time All-American and No. 3-ranked Brock Biddle (174 lbs.), 2021 All-American and No. 6-ranked Jacob Ealy (149 lbs.), 2021 NCAA National Qualifier Matt Siszka (125 lbs.), and No. 10-ranked Dillon Keane (165 lbs.).
 
      King University, located in Bristol, Tenn., enters the quad match at 3-3 under first-year Interim Head Coach Tony Vezzetti.  The Tornado has had their last four matches postponed.  King last wrestled at the 2022 NWCA National Duals in Louisville on January 6 and suffered losses to No. 2 St. Cloud State (MN), North Carolina-Pembroke, and Tiffin (OH).
      The Tornado is led by sixth-ranked Christian Small at 141 lbs. and 11th-ranked Dallas Boone at 157 lbs.
 
      Seton Hill, under 10th-year Head Coach Brian Tucker, was 4-1 overall and 0-1 in the PSAC prior to Saturday's conference match against 18th-ranked Mercyhurst.
      The Griffins, who's last match at East Stroudsburg on January 9 was postponed, posted a 3-0 record at the Kutztown Duals on January 8.  Seton Hill defeated Glenville State (WV), 39-11, before earning a 42-6 win over No. 24 American International (MA) and a 30-11 victory over Queens (NC).
 
      Head Coach Seth Bloomquist's (13th year) Shippensburg Raiders are 2-3 overall and 0-2 in the PSAC following Thursday's, 35-9, setback at East Stroudsburg.
      Shippensburg previously wrestled on December 5 and suffered a 41-3 conference loss to Millersville.
 
      Following Sunday's quad match, Pitt-Johnstown travels to a PSAC match at 12th-ranked Kutztown on Friday, before returning home celebrate Senior Night with a PSAC match against Millersville in the Sports Center on February 4.
