2022 Men’s PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championship Preview

The Pitt-Johnstown Track and Field team will travel to the Mike S. Zafirovski Sports and Recreation Dome in Edinboro, PA this weekend to compete in the 2022 PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. 
 
In the 200-meter dash, Christian Thornton is seeded 10th with his seed time of 22.58 seconds. Andrew Jeffery is seeded 15th in this race with his seed time of 22.91 seconds. 
 
Thornton will also be competing in the 400-meter dash where his time of 50.61 seconds has him seeded 13th
 
In the 800-meter run, Luke Cimakasky is the 17th seed with his time of 1:59.07. Cimakasky is also seeded 17thin the one mile run with his seed time being 4:28.72
 
Charlie Levander and Tyler Spaid are seeded 15th and 16th in the 60-meter hurdles. Levander's seed time of 9.30 seconds just edges out Spaid's time of 9.38 seconds for the 15th spot. 
 
The Pitt-Johnstown 4x400 meter relay team will likely consist of a combination of Jeffrey, Thornton, Levander, Spaid, Logan Williams, and Blake Lauper. They are seeded 12th with a seed time of 3:31.41.
 
In the distance medley, Pitt-Johnstown is seeded 10th with a seed time of 11:18.44. The members of this team are likely to include Michael Hanik, Charlie Levander, Kenneth Robinson, Luke Cimakasky, Noah Lee, and Tyler Spaid
 
Pitt-Johnstown will have two athletes competing in the high jump. Chris Colligan is seeded 3rd with his seed mark of 2.00 meters. Jacob Mann is seeded 10th with his seed mark of 1.91 meters. 
 
Clayton Engle is seeded 11th in the triple jump. His seed mark is 13.48 meters. Demetri Miller will also be competing in the triple jump where his seed mark of 13.07 meters has earned him a 16th seed. 
 
In the weight throw, Hunter Lindsay is seeded 12th with a seed mark of 14.83 meters. Right behind him, in the 13th seed, is fellow Mountain Cat Jaylen Cooper. Cooper's seed mark is 14.59 meters.
 
The Pitt-Johnstown Athletics department would like to wish the best of luck to all Pitt-Johnstown student athletes competing this weekend. The 2022 NCAA Division II National Indoor Track and Field Championships are slated for March 11th and 12th in Pittsburg, Kansas.
