The Pitt-Johnstown Men's Track and Field team fared well across the board at this weekend's University of Mount Union (Ohio) Jim Wuske Invitational.
Clay Engle placed first in triple jump with his mark of 13.29 meters. Also in the triple jump,
Demetri Miller finished 10
th. His top mark on the day was 12.14 meters.
On the track,
Andrew Jeffery finished 4
th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.32. Also, in the 200-meter dash,
Logan Williams finished 6
th (23.49 seconds) and
Blake Lauper finished 8
th (23.67 seconds).
In the 400-meter dash, Williams finished 9
th with a time of 52.87 seconds. Luke Cimaksky continues his impressive form with a 3
rd place finish in the 800-meter run with his time of 2:02.39.
In the 4x400 meter relay Jeffery, Lauper, and Williams teamed with
Charlie Levander to earn a time of 3:34.78. This time was good enough for a second place finish.
Chris Colligan's high jump of 1.91 meters gave him fourth place. Jacob Mann also competed in the high jump where he finished tenth with a top mark of 1.81 meters. In the long jump,
Shane Felix finished in 6
th with a mark of 6.24 meters.
In the weight throw,
Hunter Lindsay finished in third and
Jaylen Cooper finished seventh. Their throws were 14.42 and 13.93 meters respectively.
The Mountain Cats travel to Kent, Ohio for the Kent State University Tune-Up Meet on February 19th. This will be the last regular season meet for Pitt-Johnstown before the 2022 PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in Edinboro, PA.
