The Pitt-Johnstown baseball team will open a four-game, home-and-home PSAC Western Division series against Clarion on Saturday at Point Stadium. Game on is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Coach Todd Williams, enters the series at 10-10-1 overall and 0-4 in the PSAC West after suffering four losses to 17
th-ranked Seton Hill in last week's conference opening series. On Thursday at Point Stadium,
Dylan Broderick homered and drove in three and
Justin Turcovski added three hits, but Seton Hill came away with 4-1 and 6-3 wins. In Greensburg on Friday,
Garrett Prosper and
Asher Corl each belted home runs, but the Griffins completed the sweep with 6-3 and 9-0 victories.

Head Coach Doc Neiman's Clarion Golden Eagles slipped to 4-15 following Wednesday's 8-7 non-conference loss at Frostburg State (MD).Â
Kasey Shughart and
Danny Fox each had two hits, and
Caden Contant drove in two. The Golden Eagles also lost three-of-four to Mercyhurst open PSAC-play last weekend.

Since 2005, Pitt-Johnstown holds a 30-15 advantage in the series between the two teams. The Mountain Cats have won four of the last five meetings, including taking three-out-of-four games from the Golden Eagles last season in Johnstown. On March 26, Pitt-Johnstown secured 11-5 and 9-8 wins. On March 27, the Mountain Cats picked-up a 13-2 win in the opener, before Clarion got a 9-8 win in nine innings to close out the series.

Pitt-Johnstown will conclude the series against Clarion with a pair of games at Pullman Park in Butler on Sunday at 3 p.m., before hosting a non-conference game against Bloomsburg on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium.
