The Pitt-Johnstown baseball team returns home to open a four-game, home-and-home PSAC Western Division series with California (PA), Friday afternoon at Point Stadium. Game times are scheduled for 1 and 3 p.m.

Justin Turcovski added two home runs, but IUP dealt Pitt-Johnstown 14-12 and 13-3 losses to open a PSAC series in Indiana. The Crimson Hawks completed the sweep with 6-2 and 14-7 wins in Johnstown on Saturday.

Head Coach Mike Conte, is 22-13 overall and 7-9 in conference-play. The Vulcans' non-conference game at Alderson Broaddus (WV) on Wednesday was canceled due to weather. Cal U also suffered four PSAC West losses to Mercyhurst last weekend. The Lakers took Friday's games 10-3 and 4-3 (8 inn.) in Washington, Pa. on last Friday, before completing the sweep with 7-0 and 7-2 wins in Erie on Saturday.

Last season, the Vulcans took three of the four games from the Mountain Cats. On April 16 in Washington, Cal U earned 2-0 and 11-6 wins. The next day at Point Stadium,
Lennox Pugh and
Chase Vargo combined for five RBI to lead Pitt-Johnstown to a 9-6 victory in game one. The Vulcans took the nightcap, 9-3.

Pitt-Johnstown will close out the PSAC series with the Vulcans with a pair of games at Wild Things Stadium in Washington on Saturday, before visiting Slippery Rock to begin a four-game conference series next Friday.
