

The 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship Meet was host to the breaking of multiple University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown program

records.
On the track, the 4x100-meter relay team set a new school record in the preliminary round with a time of 42.62 seconds. The team, made up of
Marcos Lopez,
Cristian Thornton,
Michael Ifidon, and Andrew Jeffrey, placed fifth in the finals with a time of 42.77 seconds.
Jeffrey also competed in both the 100 and 200-meter runs. In the 100-meter dash he was timed at 10.93 seconds which earned him a spot in the finals where he placed seventh. In the 200-meter dash, Jeffrey's preliminary time was 22.23 seconds. He finished eighth in the final.
Luke Cimakasky became the second Mountain Cat ever to finish under four minutes in the 1500-meter run. His time of 3:59.62 earned him an eleventh-place finish. This time places Cimakasky at second all time in Pitt-Johnstown program history, only edged out by All-American and Pitt-Johnstown Hall of Famer, Steve Parker.
The 4x400-meter team consisted of
Logan Williams,
Charlie Levander,
Kenneth Robinson, and
Blake Lauper. They finished twelfth with a time of 3:26.96.

Three Pitt-Johnstown athletes finished in the top-twenty in high jump.
Chris Colligan placed eleventh (1.92 meters), Jacob Mann placed fourteenth, and
Clay Engle placed eighteenth.
Engle's success did not stop there though, as he took the top spot in program history in the triple jump. Engle hit a top mark of 14.10 meters. This was good enough for seventh place on the day.
Demetri Miller placed thirteenth in the triple jump with a top mark of 13.03 meters.

Bryce Batch kept up the record-breaking momentum as he threw for a new program record in discus with a top mark of 44.62 meters.
Hunter Lindsay placed fourteenth in discus with a top throw of 42.85 meters. Lindsay also threw javelin. He placed twelfth with a top throw of 53.32 meters.
Cole Weist placed seventh in javelin with a top throw of 56.61 meters. This distance earns him second all-time in program history.
The 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place from May 26th-28thin Allendale, Michigan at the Grand Valley State University Track and Field Stadium.
