The 14^th-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers took advantage of a fall from Dillon Keane at 165 lbs. and seven wins by technical fall in a 47-0 victory over East Stroudsburg in Wednesday's 2023-24 home and PSAC-opener in the Sports Center.  The Mountain Cats evened their record at 1-1 overall and improved to 1-0 in the PSAC.
 
Back-to-back 15-0 technical fall wins from seventh-ranked Trevon Gray at 125 lbs. and Byron Daubert at 133 lbs. got the Mountain Cats off and running., before Mason Myers' 8-2 decision over Shawn Redfield in the bout at 141 lbs. increased it to 13-0.
 
Pitt-Johnstown rolling.  Three-time All-American and third-ranked Jacob Ealy and Cooper Warshel recor4ded the Mountain Cats' third and four wins by technical fall.   At 149 lbs., Ealy secured 16-1 victory at 3:00 over Jacob Remolina, and Warshel tech falled Jack Spahn 19-4 at 6:39 to push it out to 23-0.
 
After Dillon Keane pinned Luke Schirmacher at 2:23 in the 165-lb. bout, Tony Salopek scored a 16-1 technical fall at 5:00 over Kasim Bahar at 174 lbs., and Noah Gnibus won by technical fall, 16-1 at 5:18 over Jarrett Pantuso at 184 lbs. that made it 39-0.
 
The Mountain Cats closed it out with ninth-ranked Dakoda Rodgers' 17-2 technical fall at 5:40 over Ajay Hiller at 197 lbs. and No. 7 Isaiah Vance's 10-4 win decision over Layton Schmick at 285 lbs. set the final at 47-0.
 
East Stroudsburg is now 2-1 overall and 0-1 in the PSAC.
 
Pitt-Johnstown travels to the Fairmont State (WV) Duals to take on Glenville State (WV) and the hosts on Nov. 19, before returning home to host non-conference match against King (TN) on Dec. 2 in the Sports Center.
