Abbey-Gale Brooks finished second in the 200-Meter Dash to lead a group of nine individual Pitt-Johnstown women's track athletes who placed in the top eight, while the 4x400 Relay Team placed seventh at this weekend's Susquehanna Early Season Indoor Invitational and Multi in Selinsgrove.
Brooks' time of 26.94 in the 200-Meter Dash earned her a runner-up finish and
Mayah Charity finished seventh in the same event at 27.48 to give the Mountain Cats a pair of place-winners in the event.
Brooks was also sixth in the 60-Meter Dash (8.12) while teammate
Kara McKenzie placed eight in the 60-Meter Dash at 8.14.
In the 400-Meter Run,
Alexandra Walton placed sixth (1:05.67) and McKenzie was eighth (1:06.57), and
Jenna Smith finished sixth in the 800-Meter Run with a time of 2:27.48.
McKenzie's fine day continued with a seventh-place finish in the 60-Meter Hurdles (10.17), and
Paige Greathouse was sixth in the Mile Run at 5:30.44.
The Mountain Cat 4x400-Meter Relay team of
Ava Barker,
Paige Greathouse, Smith, and
Lacey Greathouse came away with a seventh-place finish at 4:46.33.
Pitt-Johnstown will break for the holiday season, before continuing its Indoor season at the Youngstown State (OH) University Invitational on Jan. 9.
