Head Coach Todd Williams and the Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats will make their 2023 home debuts with a four-game, non-conference series against East Stroudsburg, Thursday and Friday at Johnstown's Point Stadium. Thursday and Friday's doubleheaders are scheduled for noon.

The Mountain Cats, 6-7 overall, look to bounce back from losses to Charleston (WV) last weekend. After dropping Friday's opener, 5-4 in 11 innings, the Golden Eagles earned 5-4 and 17-3 wins on Saturday. Prior to that Pitt-Johnstown took 3-of-4 from West Liberty on March 4 and 5 in Cadiz, Ohio.

Chase Nowak fanned five over five scoreless innings to lead the Warriors to an 8-2 win in the opener. Shepherd took the nightcap, 7-2.

Last season, the teams met for a three-game series on March 10-11 in East Stroudsburg the Warriors took two of the three games. After suffering a loss on March 10 Pitt-Johnstown bounced back with a 7-4 win to start a doubleheader on March 11.Â
Justin Turcovski had two hits and drove in two and Lenox homered for the Mountain Cats. East Stroudsburg took the finale, 12-8.

Pitt-Johnstown opens PSAC West play with a doubleheader at Gannon next Friday, before hosting the Golden Knights for a pair of games next Saturday starting at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium.
