STORY COMPLIMENTS OF TANNER MCQUALITY


In a midseason meet, the men's team took second place, scoring a team total of 91.5 points behind the the host school at the Messiah Multis and Invitational. There were three meet winners and three new PSAC qualifiers.
Andrew Jeffrey (SR) and
Michael Ifidon (SO) qualified to the finals and went 1-2 in the 100m dash running a wind-legal 10.88 and 11.00, respectively. This was the first personal record of the meet for Jeffrey as he went on to place second in the 200m dash in a time of 21.8, which ranks him fifth in the PSAC. Sophomore
Blake Lauper placed eighth in the 400m dash in a personal record of 50.80.
Junior
Luke Cimakasky placed second in the 1500m in a PSAC qualifying time of 3:58.99, a new personal record.
Michael Hanik (SR) and Tristen Landsbery (FR) competed in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing in season best times of 10:44.31 and 11:08.45, respectively.
Anthony Scott (JR) competed in the 5000m run for the Mountain Cats, finishing in a time of 17:35.79.
In the prelims, sophomore
Marcello Legister qualified for the 110m hurdle finals with a PSAC qualifying time of 16.13. Legister went on to finish eighth in the finals.
Charlie Levander (SO) finished the

400m hurdles in a time of 59.21, with Legister in 60.11.
The men's 4x100m relay of Legister,
Cristian Thornton (SO), Jeffrey, and Ifidon finished fourth in a time of 43.14, while the 4x400m relay of
Logan Williams (SO), Thornton,
Kenneth Robinson (SO), and Lauper ran a season best time of 3:24.57, ranking eighth in the PSAC. An opportunity arose for the quartet of Cimakasky,
Ben Brassart (FR), Brand Patterson (FR), and
Noah Lee (SO) to compete in the 4x800m relay, finishing second in a time of 8:17.28.
In the field events, senior
Chris Colligan won the high jump competition with a height of 1.87m.
Jacob Mann (SO),
Noah Ser (FR), and Clayton Engle (SR) followed, finishing third, sixth, and seventh, respectively. Freshman Luca Attanucci finished fourth in the pole vault, clearing 4.20m (13' 9.25"), followed by
John Yahner (FR) in eighth. Sophomore
Hunter Johnson won the long jump, jumping 6.84m.
Next up for the Mountain Cats is the West Virginia University Mountaineer Showcase on April 21st.
