Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Set For PSAC Indoor Championships

The Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's track and field team are set to compete in Sunday and Monday's 2024 PSAC Indoor Championships at Lehigh University.  Action will start on Sunday at 11 a.m. inside Rauch Fieldhouse.
 
The Mountain Cat women's team had six individuals and the 4x400 Meter Relay and Distance Medley teams qualify for this year's championships, while eight men along with the 4x400 Meter Relay and Distance Medley teams will represent Pitt-Johnstown.
 
Last Season Shippensburg claimed both the men's and women's PSAC Indoor Championships.  In 2023 Head Coach Nick Ramirez's Pitt-Johnstown men's squad finished 10th in the 12-team field, while the women were 15th.
 
**ALL SPECTATOR TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE FROM LEHIGH UNIVERSITY**

Below is a breakdown of the Pitt-Johnstown qualifiers compiled by Kayla McNamara and Abbey-Gale Brooks
 
Women
--Abbey-Gale Brooks is seeded 9th in a stack field of the 60m dash with a time of 7.89 (Second all-time Pitt-Johnstown
list). She will also be competing in the 200m, entering placed 13th with a time of 25.88.
--Miama Cooper-Laylor is seeded 15th in the 60m with a time of 7.96.
--Kara McKenzie is seeded 13th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.40.
--Paige Greathouse earned a spot in the 5000m with a time of 18:57.14 which she ran last week at Spire Indoor Games.
She is currently seeded 16th.
--Alexandra Walton is seeded 9th in the 800m with a time of 2:23.01 (4th all-time Pitt-Johnstown list).
--Natalie Lippincott is seeded 11th in the high jump with a height of 1.57m. Last year.  Lippincott was second in 2023
outdoor PSAC championships with a jump of 1.5m, scoring 8 points for the Pitt-Johnstown women's team.

Men
--Michael Ifidon will be competing in the 60m dash with a time of 6.86 that he ran earlier this season at Jud Logan
Memorial meet that secured him his 2nd-seeded position. He will also be competing in the 200m dash with a time
of 22.01(seeded 6th).
--Hunter Johnson will be competing in long jump, currently seeded 16th (6.69m) and is expected to be in the first flight
of men's long jump this weekend.
--Cristian Thornton is seeded 12th in the 200m dash with a time of 22.48 as well as 15th in the 400m dash (50.33).
--Noah Lee is seeded 13th in the 800m dash with a time of 1:57.58
--Luke Cimakasky qualified last week at Spire Indoor games and secured his 14th position in the 1 mile run (4:23.44).

--Ryan Porch is seeded 14th in the long jump with a score of 6.70m
--Hunter Johnson is seeded 16th in the long jump with a score of 6.69m
