Slippery Rock, under 39th-year Coach Jeff Messer, was 8-3 before yesterday's games against the Mountain Cats.  Slippery Rock took two-of-three from Saint Anselm College last weekend.  The Rock won the opener behind Gage Gillott's complete-game shutout, 5-0, and lost game two, before taking the series with another 5-0 victory on Sunday.

Pitt-Johnstown will host a non-conference game against Lock Haven on Tuesday at 2 p.m., then begin a four-game PSAC West series with a doubleheader against Gannon, Friday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium.
