



A group of eight Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers have been named to the 2023-24 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division II Scholar All-America Team.
This year's Mountain Cat NWCA Scholar All-Americans include: 2024 NCAA National Champion
Jacob Ealy (149 lbs.) (Business), 2024 NCAA All-Americans
Trevon Gray (125 lbs.) (Business) and
Dakoda Rodgers (197 lbs.) (Business), 2024 NCAA National Qualifier
Cooper Warshel (157 lbs.) (Mechanical Engineering),
Kyler Crawford (157 lbs.) (Mechanical Engineering),
Jake Sabol (174 lbs.) (Electrical Engineering),
Will Small (184 lbs.) (Business), and
Alex Weber (174 lbs.) (Mechanical Engineering).
The University of Indianapolis topped the team ranking with a GPA of 3.480, with Lake Erie College close behind with a 3.466. Colorado Mesa (3.439), Minnesota State (3.438), and Wisconsin-Parkside (3.436) round out the top five teams.




A total of 368 individuals from 62 institutions were honored as Scholar All-American. This marks the most institutions and individuals honored in the history of the award.
Indianapolis also led the individual side with 16 wrestlers honored, while Nebraska-Kearney had 12 individuals. Both Northern State and St. Cloud State had 11 individual honorees.
A total of 41 student-athletes honored had perfect 4.0 GPAs.
In order for a student-athlete to be nominated to the Division II Scholar All-American Team, he must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale, with that benchmark at 3.25 for those who qualified for the 2024 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships and a 3.0 for those who were All-Americans at the 2024 Nationals. Wrestlers must have competed in four dates of competition.
