Head Coach Todd Williams and the Pitt-Johnstown baseball team will close out their 2024 home schedule with a pair of games PSAC Western Division games against California (PA), Thursday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium.
The Mountain Cats, 18-27 overall and 7-17 in the PSAC West are coming off of a 24-13 non-conference win at Bloomsburg on Tuesday.  
Justin Turcovski went 4-for-5 with two home runs, including a grand slam, and seven RBI, while 
Josh Ulery added four hits, including a three-run homer, and five RBI.  Pitt-Johnstown also split a four-game PSAC series with Western Division leading IUP last weekend.  After suffering a pair of losses in Indiana on Friday, the Mountain Cats bounced back with 2-0 and 2-1 wins at Point stadium on Saturday.
Head Coach Mike Conte's (27
th year) California (PA) Vulcans are 25-17 overall and 11-13 in conference-play after dropping three-of-four to Mercyhurst last weekend.  The Vulcans won the opener, 5-1, behind 
Michael Valente's six strong innings on the mound, but the Lakers came back to win the next three.
Last season, the teams split two games at Point Stadium on April 29.  After losing the opener, 3-0, the Mountain Cats took the nightcap, 3-0, behind 
Rodney Shultz's complete-game, five-strikeout performance.  The next day, the Vulcans earned 10-2 and 5-1 victories in Washington, Pa.
Pitt-Johnstown will end the 2024 regular season with a PSAC Western Division doubleheader against California (PA) tomorrow afternoon at Wild Things Park in Washington, Pa.
