After beginning the inaugural season of Pitt-Johnstown swimming at the Indiana (PA) Crimson Hawk Invitational, the Mountain Cat men and women competed in the IUP Sprint Frenzy Meet, Friday afternoon at the Pidgeon Natatorium in Indiana.

Pitt-Johnstown's
Nicole Scott finished ninth in the 50-Meter Butterfly (28.57), 11
th in the 50-Meter Backstroke (30.82), and 13
th in the 100-Meter I.M. (1:06.74), and
Allison Arendas was 13
th in the 100-Meter Freestyle (1:02.65), and 19
th in both the 50-Meter Freestyle (28.27) and 50-Meter Butterfly (31.66).

Mark DiPalma led the way for the Mountain Cat men by placing seventh in both the 100-Meter Freestyle (51.28) and 50-Meter Backstroke (27.28) and 12
th in the 50-Meter Freestyle (23.69), while
Nick Truschel was 14
th in the 50-Meter Freestyle (26.96), 15
th in the 50-Meter Breastroke (31.77), and 18
th in the 100-Meter I.M. (1:08.69).

Pitt-Johnstown will travel to Lock Haven next Friday and Shippensburg on Oct. 18 for dual meets, before going to the Youngstown State (OH) Fall Invitational, Nov. 20-22.
