


Pitt-Johnstown's
Mark DiPalma and
Nicole Scott earned spots in this week's PSAC Men's and Women's Swimming Championships at the Graham Aquatics Center in York and both shined in the programs' first appearance at the conference championships.
DiPalma and Scott both debuted with strong showings in Wednesday's second day of competition. DiPalma placed second in his heat and finished 20
th overall by shaving 1.6 seconds off his personal best time in the 200-Yard Freestyle. DiPalma swam the preliminaries in 1:44.91. Scott also swam a personal best in the 100-Yard Butterfly. She took four hundredths of a second off her personal best and finished 27
th with a time of 1:00.23.
On Friday, DiPalma and Scott both competed in the 100-Yard Backstroke. DiPalma added another personal best and finished 30
th at 54.62, and Scott was 42
nd with a time of 1:03.45.
DiPalma closed out the PSAC Championships and Pitt-Johnstown's inaugural season on Saturday with his third personal best showing in as many days. DiPalma posted a personal best time of 48.74 and finished 34
th in the 100-Yard Freestyle.
