Pitt-Johnstown stood alone in first place atop the 9-team field after the second day of competition at the PSAC Men's Golf Championships on Saturday at Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon.
The Mountain Cats are collectively at 10-over par 586, eight strokes ahead of second-place West Chester.
That's largely because of sophomore Lucas Smith, who sits atop the leaderboard at 3-under 141 following a second round 3-under 69 that paced the field.
Eli Ropietski and Griffin Hansberry are also in the top 10, with both of them tied for 8th-place at 4-under par. Grayden Laird is at 8-over par and resides in 20th heading into the final round.
The championships conclude on Sunday with the third round beginning at 9 a.m. Laird will tee-off at 10:50 a.m., followed by Hansberry at 11 a.m. and Ropietski at 11:10 a.m. Smith will try to capture an individual title when he tees off at 11:20 a.m.
