After a five-set triumph over Shippensburg in Tuesday's quarterfinals, Head Coach Justin Haupt's Pitt-Johnstown women's volleyball team, seeded third in the Western Division, will take on West No. 1-seeded Gannon in Friday's PSAC Tournament Semifinals in East Stroudsburg.  Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse on the campus of East Stroudsburg University.
 
The winner advances to take on the winner of the West No. 2 Indiana (PA)/East No. 1 East Stroudsburg match in in Saturday's PSAC Tournament championship match.
 
The winner of 2025 PSAC Tournament champion will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Tournament, Dec. 4-6, hosted by the top-seeded team in the region.
 
Pitt-Johnstown, 17-10 on the year, traveled to Shippensburg on Tuesday and held off the East No. 2-seeded Red Raiders with a 15-10 win in the fifth set. Ellie Zuro Cirino finished with a match-high 22 kills and Caroline Knight added 19 kills to lead the Mountain Cats into the semifinals
 
Nineteenth-year Head Coach Matt Darling's Gannon Golden Knights improved to 23-6 on the season after a 3-0 home sweep over PSAC East No. 4 West Chester in Tuesday's conference quarterfinals.  Sydney Wake collected a match-high 22 kills and Lauren Atwell had eight kills for the Golden Knights, who made it six wins on their last seven outings.
 
Pitt-Johnstown and Gannon met twice during the regular season, and the Golden Knights earned a pair of victories.  On Oct. 4 in Erie. Nehi Yazicioglu and Wake combined for 28 kills in a 3-0 Gannon victory.  Zuro Cirino had eight kills, while Mallory Pinske and Dannika Susko each had six kills for the Mountain Cats.  In the second meeting on Oct. 31. Knight tallied a match-high 14 kills for Pitt-Johnstown, but Gannon swept the Mountain Cats in the Sports Center.
