The Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's basketball teams will host Clarion for a PSAC Western Division doubleheader, Wednesday evening in the Sports Center.  The women will kick off the doubleheader at 5:30 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 7:30 pm.

Head Coach D'wan Shackleford-Vickroy's Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats are 2-18 overall and 0-13 in the PSAC after last Wednesday's, 76-67, loss to No. 10/13-ranked Seton Hill in the Sports Center.  The Mountain Cats, who trailed by just two with five minutes remaining in regulation, were led by Lydia Miller's career-highs of 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Belle Bosch and M'laya Ainsworth each scored 11 points, while Camille Dominick and Riley Childress added nine and eight points, respectively.
Second-year Head Coach Danielle Fleming and the Clarion Golden Eagles have suffered four straight losses and come in at 12-10 overall and 6-8 in the PSAC following Friday's, 67-48 setback at Edinboro.  Arianna Seitz scored 12 points, and Zoe Guice and Malayziah Etheridge scored 10 points each to lead the Golden Eagles.
Since the 2004-05 season, Pitt-Johnstown and Clarion have split the 28 games played between the two teams.  On Jan. 11, the Golden Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak to the Mountain Cats with an 80-63 victory in Clarion.  Childress led Pitt-Johnstown with 22 points, while Ainsworth had 18 points and a game-high nine rebounds, and Bosch chipped-in 15 points and seven rebounds.  Etheredge's game-high 24 points and six rebounds and Seitz's 20 points and six rebounds paced the Golden Eagles.

Head Coach Bob Rukavina's Pitt-Johnstown squad used a career-high 35 points and eight rebounds from Ryan Smith to outlast Seton Hill, 100-97, in double overtime last Wednesday in the Sports Center.  The Mountain Cats improved to 10-10 overall and 6-7 in the PSAC.  Baden Forup had 20 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, and Jay Rose collected 15 points.  Graduate transfer Sean Dillon scored seven points to move to within one of 1,000 for his career and dished out 14 assists, three shy of Emanual Richardson's single-game mark of 17 set against Edinboro during the 1997-98 season.
Smith enters the game ranked 22nd on the Mountain Cat All-time Scoring List with 1,154 points.  Smith is 20points shy of Tyrone Doleman (1986-88) for 21st-place on the scoring list.
Clarion, under sixth-year Head Coach Damian Pitts, is 10-10 overall and 5-9 in the PSAC following Friday's narrow, 94-93, loss at Edinboro.  Cam Kearney scored 26 points and pulled down six rebounds, while Trey Nelson and Gavin Cote each scored 16 points for the Golden Eagles.
In a series that dates back to the 1970-71 season, Clarion holds a 37-27 advantage.  Pitt-Johnstown has won 14 of the last 17 meetings, including a 68-65 victory in Clarion on Jan. 11.  Smith scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and Adam Bilinsky added 16 points for the Mountain Cats.  Kearney's 20 points and Justice Easter's 10 points and game-high 12 rebound led the way for Clarion.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to a PSAC doubleheader at Edinboro on Saturday, before returning home to host conference doubleheaders against Indiana (PA) next Wednesday and Slippery Rock for Winterfest Weekend on Feb. 15.
