

The Pitt-Johnstown men's track and field team got a runner-up finish from
Michael Ifidon in the 100-Meter Dash and
Cristian Thornton placed in the top-10 in both the 200-Meter Dash and 400-Meter Run to help the Mountain Cats to a 12th-place finish out of 26 teams at this weekend's Messiah Invitational
The hosts claimed the team title with 138.50 points. Pitt-Johnstown was 12th with 24.50 points.
In the track events, Ifidon placed second in the 100-Meter Dash at 10.92, while Thornton finished fourth in the 400-Meter Run (49.95) and 10th in the 200-Meter Dash ( 22.85).
Also in the 100-Meter Dash,
Nick Legnine was seventh (11.33) and
Domenion Jacobs was eighth in the 400-Meter Run (50.96).
In addition,
Nathaniel Thomas finished eighth in the 400-Meter Hurdles at 59.73, and
Ethan Barrick was 14th in the 800-Meter Run at 2:02.39 for the Mountain Cats.
In the Field Events,
Bridger Blankenbicker placed eighth and
John Yahner placed 11th in the Pole Vault at 4.02m and 3.87m, respectively.
The Mountain Cats will go to the Slippery Rock John Papa Invitational on Thursday and to the Saint Francis Red Flash Open on April 26.
